Scent of Lombardy was born in 2019 after winning first place in the Lombardy Region's 'Fashiontech-Progetti di Ricerca & Sviluppo per la moda sostenibile' Fashiontech-Research & Development Projects for Sustainable Fashion call for proposals.
A merit, but also a great support received from an institution that has made about 10 million euro available to the sector realities with the aim of financing industrial research and experimental development projects aimed at sustainability.
This valuable support towards sustainable innovation combined with the world of fashion, increases Lombardy's drive to become Italy's first 'green' region in the textile and fashion sector.
The innovative and functional project has thus given rise to this virtual platform dedicated to all brands and companies interested in making the components of their products eco-sustainable.
But this is only the tip of the iceberg...
Scent of Lombardy brings together under its umbrella a chain of innovative and technologically advanced companies, all operating in the most productive provinces of northern Italy.
But in addition to know-how, what gives these realities an extra edge is their complementarity, which allows them to optimise time and costs. Which often also translates into greater sustainability and incisiveness in the fashion and cosmetics supply chain.
